For some reason, my output won't generate now. Get an error for which a Google search yields no result. Any ideas? I didn't change anything in the settings file. I opened it and re-did a save and close. No help.

This message is due to "Screen layouts used in this output are missing from the Settings file" - It appears because you have skipped one step of selecting the layout before publishing.

File > Publish

Responsive Layout > (right click) > Edit Settings > Manage Layout > New > Select either of Azure blue or Charcoal Grey

OK > Save and Close

Now publishing should give an output with no errors.

Why does this error happen?  I was publishing with no problems and suddenly this shows up and I can't publish anymore.

Thanks,

Doug

This happened to me as well.

To a file that was fine, then suddenly stopped working.

To fix it, I selected "Edit settings" and saved.

Then the problem went away.

For a time my settings file was getting corrupted...the file size would drop dramatically on those.  Not sure what I did to fix it...I might have started from scratch with a new settings file.

I looked at the Settings file to edit.

The actual settings I had made, e.g. colors, fonts were there, but all graphic elements had disappeared.

It had been corrupted in some way.

I had just started making more changes to my file, so had saved a good copy to somewhere else on my system. I reloaded this, and the file started working again.

However, I had to redo all the settings I had made today.

This good file is now saved in an additional place.

1. I am in Frame 2017 with all patches, maybe this is a bug

2. Suggestion, once you get a Settings file that works, save it to somewhere else in case this happens again.
