Does anyone have same experience with FrameMaker publishing DITA to PDF taking too long? I compared the time required for publishing the same document with DITA OT. It took around 10 times less than FM 2020. Do we have to simply live with it?

Yes, it can be painfully slow. I think it is the process of updating all of the cross-references, etc. One way we have saved some time: we use XSLT and ExtendScript to precombine the topics into a single XML file and then resolve the cross-references with a script after the FrameMaker document is built.
