I have been successful in using a white rectangle to cover up the unwanted bold line above table titles except when the table continuation variable is used for tables continued on a second page. Has anyone discovered a work-around?

unwanted bold line above table titles

Assuming you're using the default table definitions, have you tried updating the TableTitle style? or the ruling properties in the table style?

I don't use the default definitions, so I've never seen a title with a bold line above. Perhaps you could post a picture.

Responder got me focused on "table title style" which actually is controlled by Paragraph Designer with Paragraph Tag being "Table Title". Here I found that the unwanted line was being called for in "frame above paragraph". This I switched to "None." and the line went away.

(It's still a mystery to me why such lines in "continued" tables couldn't be whited out.)
