I have files created in FrameMaker 12.

Can I use FrameMaker 2015 version to open the files and generate PDFs?

I get error when I try to do this.

Just want to know if it is possible or not.

thanks,

Alice

Yes, it should be possible. What sort of error are you getting?

Open all of the files and save as FM2015 versions first. If you have a book file, open all of the component files before trying to create a PDF. [Use the Shift-key shortcut on the File menu for the book to open all of the files in one go.]
