Just wondering, because it would be really neat... Is there a way to make a certain paragraph tag to always be connected with a certain condition?

Only with a script. There's no way to do it through the standard formatting tools.

Thanks. Bit of a pity really... I often wish it was possible to connect more features to a paragraph style. For instance master pages. Master pages can be done using the table on reference pages, but doing it in a dropdown box in Paragraph Designer, would be much smarter.

StudioSm,

With unstructured documents, you can apply the condition to existing material pretty quickly, but it won't assign it to new paragraphs a they are created: Use Copy Special to put the condition on the clipboard and then Find/Change to search for the paragraph format and Change All by pasting.

With structured documents you can use Filter by Attribute to make it automatic.

Is re-flow necessary when the desired {notionally conditional} text is to be turned off?

If not (such as for header/footer/MP content), then the target paragraph formats could have their color set to black, but as a different color name (e.g. Black.Contingent). Then use Color Views to switch it on or off.
