Hi, I would like to know how to change how the word 'Table' appears next to my list of tables in a table number & page setup previously created. I am translating a Framemaker document into French so the word 'Table' need to appear as 'Tableau ..#'. I've already tried editing the variable definition for the associated Table formats in cross-reference but no luck.

You need to edit the Autonumber of the TableTitle paragraph format. Same goes for Figure numbers as well.

Note: It's a good idea to create a separate template for French (using the same paragrapgh tag names) and change the language for all tags to French along with the Autonumber changes and then import that into your translated document(s). You should also include all of the translated variable and cross-ref definitions in this template.
