Hi all, is there a way to place pdf documents into a framemaker book so that it will save with the rest of the book files into a single pdf document?  And if so, can the pdf documents be included in the book table of contents and with hyperlinks?

thanks in advance,

Jim

Not easily. FM treats PDFs as single-page graphics meant for import. The book structure will allow a PDF (and other file types) to be included, but FM will NOT "include" it as such when output. You could include blank FM documents with the correct page counts and then swap the pages out in Acrobat with the required PDF(s). You could also insert text frames with the required TOC headings and hyperlink references in the blank document(s), which will be retained when the pages are replaced in Acrobat, but this is quite labour intensive and a real PITA, not to mention a maintenance nightmare.

A good idea, but not something yet implemented in FM.
