I would like to see a feature (if it is not already in FM2015) that would allow the user to search and replace text in all of the master pages in a book. If there is a way to do it or a plug in available, please let me know.

Thank you!

Salome

Hi Salome,Of course you can do this with FrameScript or ExtendScript.Apart from this you can only search/replace on master pages,if you are already in the master page view.I assume that your files have different master pages, don’t they?Otherwise you can change the master pages in one file andthen import them into all other files of the book.I put all static text on master pages into variables. Then I can change the content easily only with importing variablesinto other files.Best regardsWinfried

Hi Salome,

Of course you can do this with FrameScript or ExtendScript.

Apart from this you can only search/replace on master pages,

if you are already in the master page view.

I assume that your files have different master pages, don’t they?

Otherwise you can change the master pages in one file and

then import them into all other files of the book.

I put all static text on master pages into variables.

Then I can change the content easily only with importing variables

into other files.

Best regards

Winfried
