Hi Everyone ,

I have been trying to convert the FM to MIF from the frame maker tool , After the convertion we could see some of the position of the textline has been changed .

Sample textline

  <TextLine

   <Unique 1018089>

   <Separation 0>

   <ObColor `Black'>

   <RunaroundGap  0.0 pt>

   <TLOrigin  2.64059" 3.15503">

   <TLAlignment Right>

   <String `on satellite'>

  > # end of TextLine

When sometimes we click on the T icon in the toolbar representing the plain text , the position which is present in the MIF is been rendered again in the FM file .Can anyone help us solving this issue ?

hello Jeff ,

We are trying to convert the frame maker to mif file and then convert the mif into SVG with some basic SVG elements , since the position of the text has been changed while converting the FM file into MIF file we are having the difference in text position when compared with FM file and SVG file , this issue occurs only for few textlines others are placed correctly in SVG .

If PDF output from FM looks OK, and you have Illustrator available, I'd be tempted to
. generate PDF
. open in IL
. save as SVG
This could be batched as needed.

hi Bob Niland ,

We can do this approach to convert the FM to SVG but we faced few other issues because all the objects are converted into path objects in the output which was converted from illustrator so we have to manually convert the MIF objects to SVG objects .
