My HTML5 and CHM TOCs list each item with a nested item underneath. How can I eliminate this?

How is your FM TOC laid out? The output TOC generation coming from the formatting and level of indents applied to the FM content's TOC.

Its all one level with no nesting. As a matter of fact I can't figure out how to do nesting. The left and right arrows are grayed out.

On another topic. I cannot figure out how to get hyperlinks to work either? Seriously frustrated.

Hyperlinks or cross-refs? Make sure that your overall path length (path+filename length) isn't too long - that can mess up xrefs I've found.

That would be a cross-reference - that should work fine. What version of FM are you using?

Without seeing your content, I'm not sure what's happening with your HTML5 publishing route, but maybe you should have a look at Matt Sullivan's techcommtools.com freebie courses on publishing out of FM?
