Hi,
I did vector line work in illustrator. When I wanted to color it , fresco wanted me to convert to pixel layer. I want to keep the vector line work but color in 3 tones ,like light, medium and dark. Like for a face. How does one do that? Explain.
Use layers in Fresco so that your Illustrator Line Work is separate and not effected by colouring from any of the brushes in Fresco.
Or are you suggesting that you want the Vector lines to be 3 tones? I think that would be best done in Illustrator.
I agree with @Sjaani - if you want to maintain the vectors but want to add color fill, you are better off doing this in illustrator. With Fresco, even using a vector object as a clipping mask will convert it to pixels. You can duplicate layers at every turn to avoid losing your vector artwork, but overall Illustrator is a better tool for that style of work.
