How to turn off the direction and working area indication when painting with brushes?

I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to but are you talking about the brush shape when painting?
If so you can go to App settings > Input > Brush preview and select Off

If this is not what you mean, can you give us more details, which brush, and which device, in case it is different to what I see on my iPad or Win10 systems.
