draw within layer

is there a 'draw inside' function in adobe fresco like there is one in photoshop sketch? really missing it...

Do you mean lock transparency?  See if this does what you mean.

I'm not familiar with the feature in Sketch. Fresco has a selection tool which you can use to create an area to 'draw inside' does that not work sufficiently for your needs?
