Hello,

Is Adobe Fresco coming to Android? If it is, are there any release dates yet or perhaps even a beta tester program?

Hi prubini87,

Thanks for your interest in Fresco. As of now Fresco is only available for iPad but we're working on developing the app for other platforms and devices. I'll definitely pass on your feedback to the product team.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Regards,

Sheena

Hello everybody,

why does nobody if fresco will even come out for Android. What is wrong with your communication? I don't get it. I just want to know if I need to buy a new device, or if I just need to wait a little longer.

I'm a customer that also has customers. Please give us a more valid answer...

These forums are generally responded to by other users. We can't answer that question.

Adobe doesn't generally give a time frame for anything being released, that way they can work on it until it is ready.

I absolutely understand, but why cutting AI for Android and giving no solution to work on a tablet? The're promising since 2019 that fresco will come...

Yes, definitely didn't make sense to drop both Sketch and Draw from Android without giving access to the app they were telling everyone to go to.

I get stuck in an endless sign-in loop when trying to follow the link you provided which just comes off as a sick joke at this point.

If Adobe doesn't want to be available to the Android portion of the mobile market, be honest about it, then give Android users a pro-rated discount to Creative Cloud for each app to which you deny us equal access that is available to Apple.

I'm sure they want the app to eventually come to Android tablets, but it's not an easy road. Fresco came out for iPadOS first, because most machines are on the current version, and its the same across all devices and they have very similar specs.  Windows came later, because specs of devices vary more and not all machines are currently running the current OS and things are more customizable.  Android is like the wild west. Depending on who is making the device, makers have their own versions of Android and what version is all over the place. I could see a version coming for the Galaxy Tab devices,  but I have no idea.

EXACTLY! We should not have to pay the same price if we don't actually have the option to use all the apps, personal preference for tech aside, if we just got or don't want to spend more money getting redundant tech just to use apps we're already paying for with our subscriptions, we shouldn't have to. So many people have commented how this negatively impacted their work flow, which impacts their income, which impacts if they can afford to splurge or more tech to use something they've been paying for for years! Do a survey how many people use apple/iPad and how many of them use procreate vs fresco (do not include anyone who works for/with/is a resident of Adobe) this is strictly PAYING CUSTOMERS

Because Adobe probably made a lucrative deal with Apple in return for keeping Android out of the loop and they, like most corporate entities, are too cowardly to simply admit they need money more than integrity...

Why are you posting the question on the Photoshop Forum instead of the Fresco Forum?

The majority of people who respond on the forums are users of the apps. We don't know Adobe's plans. Plus Adobe tends not to give release dates because they don't want to be held to a specific date then have to release a product which is not fully functional at the time of release.

I have seen posts to say it was being worked on but there's no knowing when it may be available.

Fresco for Android is already available. It's an open-source image loading library developed by Facebook, designed to help with efficient image loading and caching in Android apps. You can use it in your Android projects.

May 22nd, 2024 ... still waiting. Typically Adobe.

Since I have a work CC account, stuff like this seriously makes me reconsider having a home CC account as well.
Why pay for empty promises?

It a lie and would never come.

And to Adobe, your a joke. 2019 promise of Adobes Fresco app will come to android, but it been 5 YEARS and yet no Fresco App on the playstore? A triple AAA game take less time than that. Stop lying and admit that you won't do it, because it is clear that you are being PC/Apple Exclusive just like Procreate, Final cut and such.
Just look at Clip Studio, ibis Paint, Sketch and MANY other drawing apps. And you saying it is impossible or it is taking that long??? EVEN KRITA. That was PC only is now being develope on android first and not iOS.

Either put out a statement that you are going PC and Apple only exclusive. Or show actual proof of Fresco being work on android.
