Hi. I was working on a drawing today when my screen suddenly went black. I assumed it must be some sort of lag so i exited out of my draawing and went back in. When it loaded back in I saw all of my hours of progress from today had been wiped. The layers i drew on remained, but their contents were gone. I closed the app and launched it again but the layers remained empty. I searched adobe support for any possible explanation as to what may have happened and saw that users from 2020 and 2022 were also experiencing this bug. I'm absolutely devestated about my loss of progress, is there any possible way to get it back at all?

Hi again, I've just been looking at the version histories of the file that crashed on Fresco, and ive been able to recover part of my progress through an older version that was saved. I've also found a version of the file from the time at which the crash took place, but it won't load and appears instead as a blank screen. Is it possible to recover that somehow?

Difficult to say without knowing a bit more but have you tried open it with Photoshop?
Somtimes opening it with Photoshop and saving it from there as a copy (choose "save as" and give it another name) and then try to open the copy in Fresco, works.

If it happens again, you may want to contact Adobe as they may need to consult the log files to correct the bug.
