Fresco crashed and I can't open the file I was working on when it did

I was working on a file and Fresco crashed.

When I open the app back I can see the thumbnail in my Recent area, but ciking on it gives me a "format not supported" error and it won't open the file. The error description says  "The document does not appear to be a valid PSD file. "

I tried to look at version history but it gave me an error message there too. I tried to look in the cloud files and that file doesn't appear there. It should as I was working on it for half an hour, and the first time it crashed it did open but then it crashed again and I lost it. Before it had some sort of lag (trying to undo or use the color picker had serious delay then caught up seconds later). Really at the moment I just want to get back the lost work if possible.

Any way to get my file back without starting completly over?  HELP!

Hi Anubhav,

Thank You! Creating a dublicate seems to have worked. Crossing my fingers it remains stable. 🙂

Thank you again for the tip!

Hello @buffytaylor,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind creating a duplicate of the file in Fresco to check if it helps?

If the problem persists, kindly share the original file you're experiencing problems with. To share the file, please follow these steps:

Go to the Cloud Documents website: https://adobe.ly/3wBGcvX and select the file you want to share
Change the link access setting

Image

Ensure "Anyone with the link can view" & "Save a copy is selected."

Copy the file link and share it here or via DM. This will allow us to take a closer look at the file and investigate the issues you've encountered.

Additionally, if you have any specific error messages or anything else you'd like to share about the problem, please include that information. We'll do our best to help you find a resolution.

Thanks,
Anubhav
