Fresco turned my layers into PS Read Only

I created an illustration in Fresco. After closing and reopening it in Fresco, I got a message advising that some of my layers were unreadable because they contain Photoshop FX. The illustration has a lot of adjustment layers, but none of them were created in Photoshop ... they were all created in Fresco so should be readable in Fresco.

I did some research online and found this problem going back 3+ years with no solution. However some of the links to information were so old, they're now dead so there could be some solution to it I can't find online. Anyone know why this happens, how to avoid it, or how to fix it?

I was hoping to swap from Procreate to Fresco and this was my first illustration using Fresco as an alternative. Pretty disappointed if this is an ongoing problem - I don't see how Fresco has any reliability/credibility for someone like me who illustrates for paid clients if you can't reopen a file to continue working on it!

Hello @sophiac80732606,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that this functionality is important to you, and I apologize for its unavailability at this time. Would you mind creating a UserVoice for this feature request (https://adobe.ly/3UqtoAT) and adding your comments there? Doing this will help us prioritize this request, and you will be notified of any updates.

Alternatively, you could merge the effects in the layers in question in Photoshop and then open the file in Fresco to see if it helps.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks,

Anubhav
