Just downloaded after a few years. How to make brushes not look cheap and flat?

Like the title states. I used to use sketch and stopped when they deleted it. I went to download it and adobe told me to use this.

the brushes look completely different. Low resolution and cheap, no depth. Like literally flat, shadows and highlights dont change that.

is there an adobe app that I can use that can do this? Or is this just not possible anymore after adobe killed it?

What brushes are you using?  There's a TON of Kyle Webster brushes that are amazing.

i downloaded every single one. Nothing looks remotely like it. No offense to Kyle but these brushes look terrible compared to the sketch brushes.
