Lost project files from Sketch being discontinued

I hadn't logged onto my Adobe sketch app for some time and found that it was discontinued but that my files would be available on the Fresco app. I found many of the files but there were several projects missing. I looked on my iPad files and iCloud but am unsure if they are just lost forever.

Hi @emilyw37456819 @HowieHowieHowie @Jenny22670124jsr5,

Sorry to hear about that. Please check if you are able to locate your files on this website (https://adobe.ly/3eoSI3p). If yes, I would suggest you check out this video (https://bit.ly/3qfAz0Q). In this video, there are four methods to save your artwork, the first method will not work now, but you may try the rest three methods.

If you are still unable to locate/ recover your files, then send me a DM. To send a DM, click my picture and

Apple iCloud is NOT the same as Adobe Creative Cloud.

Did you check your Creative Cloud storage?

Same thing happened to me. Only 7 files are in this new program and hundreds are now lost. This is my career. I hadn't so many work in progress files that I need. I called Adobe help and they said they didn't know and to ask my question online.

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Sketch or Fresco.  Perhaps Adobe Employee @Srishti Bali can shed more light on this.

This sounds very stressful.

How much time have you allowed for the migration to take place since logging into Fresco?

The documentation says "Once you log in, the migration starts. It may take some time, depending on how much artwork you have. A new folder is created for both Adobe Sketch and Adobe Draw artwork."

https://helpx.adobe.com/mobile-apps/help/sketch-draw-end-of-support.html

Unfortunately, though, there's no indication if this could take hours or days and there is no information on what to do if a user suspects that the migration may have failed.

I just recently migrated to Fresco from Adobe Sketch. I updated my Adobe Sketch App but upon opening it, it automatically asked me to migrate to Fresco. I don't have a problem with it but my frustration is my sketch files were not retrieved. All I saw in my Fresco App are four (4) old Sketch files only, not the latest files and. I wish that you could help me with this serious issues as all of my artworks from 2020 to date were in Adobe Sketch. This is very important to me as I am also using Adobe Sketch for a small business.

I already did this so many times. I lost 90% of my Adobe Sketch Files. They're not even more than 2GB of storage for creative clouds. I already talked to virtual assistant. thrice, but all of them gives the same answer. I don't know if Adobe team would really make a solution for this. This is very frustrating, using this for a small business and thinking that all of my sketch artworks are gone.

Hi @Khail Reyes,

I am really sorry to hear about this. I am afraid there is no way to recover the files now as Adobe Sketch/ Draw has been discontinued, and there is no way to access them now. As your files are not on the CC and they are not showing up in your Files in the Adobe Fresco app, then the files are unrecoverable, and unfortunately, there are no workarounds to recover them.

Apologies again!

Anshul Saini

Thanks for sharing the file, @daniell89945947. Here are the links to the documents:

There was some problem converting Doc 3. We were able to save the file in raster only for Fresco. However, we extracted the SVG file (PFA), which is fully vector and can be edited in the Illustrator Desktop app.

I hope this helps!
