Where is the "Export > Open In > Adobe Desktop Apps" option?

I use Adobe Draw daily for work. Once I'm done with designs in the iPad I export them directly to Adobe Illustrator in my desktop computer. It's a very smooth process and it works perfectly, the files are transferred with all the layers.

Today I received an email from Adobe about the discontinuation of Adobe Draw, and its replacement app Adobe Fresco. The new app does not export files to Adobe Illustrator, it can export a PDF that you can open in Illustrator, but all the shapes are messed up and the layers are gone...

How can something that works so perfectly be messed up? Can someone from Adobe help?

Thanks.

Hi marcelog8728870,

The current workflow to send the artwork to Illustrator is mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/fresco/using/fresco-and-illustrator.html

You're right as of now, it can export as a PDF and then can be imported into Illustrator but we're working on improvising that workflow.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Sheena

Hello Sheena,

If we can have the same workflow as in Adobe Draw it would be great:

"Export > Open In > Adobe Desktop Apps", with all the vector layers preserved.

I work daily with Adobe Draw and Illustrator only, just vector files with a lot of layers...

Thank you!

Hi marcelog8728870, I understand but as of now I can pass the feedback to the product team about this workflow that you're looking for.

its pretty unusable for me compared to how Draw handles exporting. Fresco destroys layers when exporting as a PDF. As far as I can tell exporting as a PSD destroys the vectors.

any update on this? fresco seems to still be quite useless (compared to Draw) when working in vectors on mobile then taking them onto desktop...
