Use the selection tool to select the pants and then paint inside of the selection. The selection tool lets you draw the shape with a polygon lasso or paint the selection with a brush.

Hi. Does this mean that there is no ´paint inside´ function as in Sketch? I have been looking for it like crazy. That was so useful!

I don´t know if I am getting this right. So, if I want to paint inside those trousers or change the color, do I need to retrace the shape of trousers with the lasso? Meaning, each time I want to try a new color I basically need to draw the trousers again? What would be the point of that? With paint inside you could try 100 different color hues or mixing them in or doing shadows just like that. There must be a way to do this in Fresco?

You can lock the transparency of a layer which allows you to “paint inside” anything on that layer. If the trousers are on their own layer it will work. If the entire illustration is on a single layer, you need to use the selection tool to protect the other areas while you paint. I hope this makes sense.
