I have adobe creative suite CS4 I purchased it in 2010. I am the onlly owner of the product. My desk top that I have had the discs installed on forever went belly up. I want to down load the discs onto my laptop with windows 10 but it wont let me Why? I need help fixing this issue asap like yesterday I paid a crap ton of money; for the thing and I did not expect to have to buy any thing else for a life time. adobe needs to make it download or make good on something that will download. Owners of old programs simply have problems with Windows 10... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name and location of your specific program for Encore

Adobe stopped changing CS4 to work with new systems the moment CS5 was released. You got the right to run it on a lifetime on the system in use at the time. Adobe expected their customers to upgrade each time a new version came out, not buy once.

Unfortunately... As stated above, old programs need an older operating system to really do their thing. This is just how it works In the long run, you're better off just going with the Creative Cloud so you can avoid issues like this. You can view available plans here.

That's kind of funny. I hope by lifetime, you meant the lifetime of your computer and not yourself. You got what you paid for. 8+ years of software usage is a lifetime. That's more than most people get out of their equipment.
