Lightroom installer stops

I have just become a Lightroom user, monthly.  I have the Lightroom Installer, which I double click to install.  The Lightroom installer starts up, with the installing percentage starts up.  It's good until it gets to 9.8%, then it stops.   Does not go any further.  I've waited for it to go farther, up to a hour, nothing changes.  I've restarted my competer twice, stops at the 9.8% each time.  Any answers....

KFulton, what version of Lightroom are you trying to install?  What operating system are you attempting to install Lightroom on?
