PhotoShop CC - Latest update fails.

Have talked to/chat with support and they don't have an answer. Their solution uninstall/reinstall. Did that and it didn't work.

have the log files from the update and there seems to be a problem with two files, C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\lib\ServiceManager-Launcher.dll and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\zlib1.dll.

Support was not interested in the log files. Is there anyone in Adobe that is at all interested in looking at the log files and coming up with a solution to this problem.

Mike G666 can you please attach the log file to the case which you opened. Also do you have a case number which I can reference.

If you can please also post which operating system you are using and the security software which you utilize it would be appreciated.

I've talked to support and the last time was a chat session where they took control of my system and attempted to do things. One thing that bothered me was when they were through the admin logon password was gone and I had to re-establish it. My normal logon is a member of the Administors group and has admin privileges. I have also attempted to do the update while loged on as the Administrator. Same errors both times.

OS is Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. My system has a four processor CPU and 8gb of memory.

Below is the contents of the log file. I've cut and pasted as I don't see a way to attach a file.

Mike it is not possible to attach files to forum discussion. If you can attach them to case 0185043427 it would appreciated. The portion you have posted though does seem to contain the error experienced while attempting to apply the update.

The attachment was to an e-mail that contained the same information as shown on the fourm. I guess since I got an e-mail I thought I could reply and attach but I guess it must go to the fourm and attachemnts are discarded. All of this information pertains to the case number that is shown in my first reply. Since creative cloud update keeps showing that there is an update to photoshop cc I thought I would try it again. Hopeing that maybe something has been fixed. No such luck, so still waiting on an answer. If any other log files are needed I need to know how to send them since I can't do it through the fourm. Prior to this update all other updates have worked just fine.

Jeff,

Why are you sending me a fix for Acrobat? I have Acrobat installed and

it works just fine. Also have never had an update

problem with Acrobat.

My problem is with PhotoShop CC and its latest update.

Is this Acrobat fix related to PhotoShop? If so I will try it, otherwise

it seems like it would be a further

waste of time.

I WANT A FIX TO PHOTOSHOP CC!!

Sorry about shouting but this is getting very frustrating.

I have no prerelease versions of software running.

Creative Cloud version is 1.3.0.322

CEPServiceManager.exe is not running.

File version for CEPServiceManager.exe is 4.0.1.80, Product version is 4.0.1, Date modified is 6/5/2013

So far everything is working ok. The real test will be whenever the next

update to Photoshop CC is

released and if it installs correctly or not. The technique that you

used, renaming an Adobe folder

and then re-installing Phtoshop and then merging the two folders needs

to be published as a fix

for this problem that is causing grief for so many others.

Final update on this discussion.

I noticed that when Romit Sinha re-installed Photoshop CC on my system it was complete that is it did not have to be updated. The previous attempt to re-install Photoshop CC required an update after the install was done and the update failed. Two days after this last re-install another update to Photoshop CC popped up in the Creative Cloud updater. That update worked/failed in the following way. A message was displayed that the update was successful but some items were missing. Photoshop CC runs ok except for the following weird behaviour. When you bring up the file menu and click on "Browse in Bridge" instead of launching Bridge it launches Creative Cloud update/install application. If you start Bridge independently and then double click on an image it transfers the image and control to Photoshop CC. I'm going to investigate this further and then open a new support case. Anyone else seeing this same thing?
