The bevel of the generated 3d model is rendered differently if .USD or .OBJ.

OBJ export is the correct one, more squared. USD export is rendered with some "inflated" appearance.

Hi @Mark ORIMBELLI LLC,

We are sorry for the trouble and delayed response. Would you mind sharing the Ai file along with OBJ & USD file with us here or via DM?

Also, would you mind installing Ai v27.0 from the Creative Cloud Desktop app beta section and checking if there is a difference in exported file preview or not?

I will be looking forward to your response.

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini

Have you actually checked the normals and/ or 3D shader properties in your 3D program? It's still some sort of bug, but having that info might help to nail down what the actual problem is.

I'm using Adobe Dimension (as in the title of the post).

Not sure if parameters you are suggesting can be user-modified.

Hi @Mark ORIMBELLI LLC,

Thanks for clarifying that. Would you mind sharing the downloading link to the exported USD, OBJ & Ai files with us? We'll check them on our end and share our findings with you.

Looking forward to your response.

Oh, sorry, my bad. Defo shouldn't happen in Adobe's own suite and would only be relevant for other programs. 😉
