You could use the 3D classic effects with an isometric preset and then rotate it in place.Assign a shading of none and expand the appearance. Then add gradients.
Use the pen tool for the place.

You need to expand the Appearance: Object > Expand appearance. Then you can use this geometry and apply the shading you need.
