Add a license key to an Adobe Illustrator Document

We've created a document in Adobe Illustrator, and we'd like to provide this to our paid subscribers to access and modify during their subscription period. At the end of this time, we would like their access to become read only. Is this something we can achieve?

If you give them the Illustrator file, there is no way to prevent them from using it.

The only way would be to use a server based solution and let them modify the file using a web interface.
