Illustrator is not starting, it even freezes my mac on startup.
I tried to uninstall / reinstall creative cloud, then uninstall / reinstall illustrator, delete illustrator preferences.
Nothing does it.

Hello @loicsans,

Could you try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (macOS) and under a different administrator account (macOS) and check if it helps?

If the problem persists, kindly share a small screen recording/screenshots of the problem, so I can check it with the team.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Anubhav
Doesn't work in any other admin account. I noticed that the problem may be with creative cloud, it takes a good 5 minutes to launch on startup, making my laptop totally unresponsive in the meantime. Once started up, illustrator is still not starting and freeze on initializing, while other apps like photoshop take minutes to run. Never had this problem before. Creative cloud is eating up my laptop resources.
I restarted my macbook in safe mode and illustrator started...very swiftly.

As for a screenshot, illustrator icon is just bouncing endlessly in the dock.

Hello @loicsans,

Thanks for confirming. Would you mind trying to reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop app and Illustrator using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and checking if it helps:

  • Close all Adobe applications
  • Remove the Creative Cloud Desktop application, CCLibrary, CoreSync, and Illustrator using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://adobe.ly/3E7y9uT)
  • Reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application (https://adobe.ly/3G2C6S1)
  • Reinstall and Relaunch Illustrator

Looking forward to hearing from you.
