Adobe Illustrator CC 2022 takes forever to open

My illustrator CC takes forever to open or doesn't open at all. Since the last several updates I've had this same issue. I need to get work done. What the heck

(If anyone comments on size of file or using an external drive, just no-- it opened fine in the older versions with the same set-up)
