Adobe Illustrator Coverts color mix I create.

Why does Illustrator change the color mix I create? Made a 4 color black, 40-40-40-100. Clicked off the box, clicked back on and Illustrator changes the mix to 80.24-74.97-69.84-91.82. Why won't it keep the mix I made?
