There are several sublayers in illustrator file which i cannot release in to layers and when i try to import the file in after effects it comes as a single file hence i want them in different objects?

You need to move the sublayers (the real sublayers, as some of these are objects or groups or other containers) out of the main layer, so they become main layers themselves.
