After Effects message: not all layers were converted because of empty or unsupported content

   I was hoping I was not going to have to ask you, but I cannot solve this puzzle.  I am probably considered an advanced beginner.  I have exported projects into AE about 100 times.  This time.....items are coming in the size of the document, even when I say to retain layer size.  Then I try to create shapes, it says the above.  

What is suppose to be fun.....is not fun today.
