So the error is "insufficient data for an image"?

Does this help? https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/insufficient-data-image.html

Hello @Amarnath31901260jtyp,

I see you're encountering an issue with saving Illustrator files as PDFs, where linked images are not appearing correctly, and an error message states "insufficient data for an image." I'm here to assist you with this concern.

Firstly, I appreciate you sharing the screenshot, and thanks to Monika for sharing the help article.

I have a couple of suggestions to help you resolve this problem:

  • Ensure that you're using the latest version of Adobe Illustrator (v27.9). Please try updating to Illustrator version 27.9 if you haven't already done so.

  • Please upvote the following Uservoice link, which highlights similar issues: Illustrator Uservoice - Issues with Linked Images in PDF. The product team is aware of the issue and will post an update on UserVoice once the fix is available.

  • If the issue persists even after updating, I recommend sharing your Illustrator file along with any linked images with us. This will allow us to investigate the problem further and escalate it to the product team for a solution. You can upload your file to a secure location and provide a download link here or via DM with me.

Please give these steps a try, and if the issue persists, don't hesitate to reach out with more details or your Illustrator file. We're here to help you find a resolution.

Best,

Anshul Saini
