Community Beginner ,
Aug 31, 2023 Aug 31, 2023

Please find example attached.
On right sight and on top you see paths I want to fill INSIDE with color.
On left side you see the way Illustrator CS 2 it fills incorrect.
How can I achieve the filling inside, in correctly way ? The Path is completely closed.

Now I found the Solution:
I need to select only 2 path meeting in one point (with a rectangle selection araund it) and join both paths. And so on. THEN it works ! Thanks to all which joined my question with answers.

Does not look like closed.

Check in the Layers panel if you have multiple paths on top of each other.

I did - but there is only a sound and no change a the path. And no error warning ...
But I can't find any Point which is not exactly at the sam position like it's next point ...

Works for me, you do not see a change after joining, you need to fill the path to see it.

If you want to see the open path, use the direct selection tool and click on a corner point to select it an move it.

It's a compound path, but it's not closed.

Release the compound path and then close it first.

May be it's a problem because of older version of illustrator (CS 2) ?
But how can I resolve it ? I need my path filled inside, not filled partly outside.

Good to hear you got it solved. Illustrator was probably improved since CS2 and made it easier to join more points in one go.
