After updating Illustrator from 26.2.1 to 27.2, the icons in my AI files appear as if I did not have the software.
Do you have a solution please.

Sincerely

Without any system info nobody can advise on how to fixed your busted file associations. Anyway, you could just look it up in a web search. That's just basic computer stuff.

The guy went to all that trouble of creating a profile, uploading a cute octopus, typing in his query, and that's all your gonna give him? (Although, you were really quick).

Can you tell us how the icons appear?

If they don't have the proper AI icon, then your system has not connected the file type with the app. You can change that in your system, so it knows where AI files belong.

If the icons do not show a preview any longer, then maybe you are using Windows and Windows does not have that functionylity. You need a system extension for it to work. On Mac Ventura it's possible, but you need to hack a little.

Hello @Jérôme22071985hvy9,

Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind reassociating the AI file type (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav
