Is there a setting for the number of symbols when using this tool?

When creating a custom symbol and using the tool it acts like a fire hose. Would like to be able to control the number of symbols better.

Double-click on the tool and set the intensity to a lower number:

Not very intutive. Why not place it on the menu bar? This also does not appear to be well documented. 

Please pardon the complaints. Just seems you have to grow into something, that should be easy to use. Just tried aligning the objects, even ungrouping them.

Many tools have double-click options. I agree it's not intuitive, but it is familiar to long-term users.

I haven't found many uses for the tool over the years. It's very situational.

Thank you that is good to know. Will have to remember to double tap in case there are somethings hidden. I can see some added value with young users with the tool. However, due to the lack of flexibility, kind of frustrating to use. May be in an upgrade they will review the tool to be more user friendly?
