Hi, Reggaeny.
It's troubling.
I tried to activate "Futura PT Book" from Adobe Fonts to try it out.
In my case, I was able to activate it successfully.

The font issue is somewhat confusing.
There may be some font conflicts going on.
Disabling the other fonts may enable Futura PT Book.
Why don't you try reducing the font?

If you have a font file, besides reducing the font, you might want to change where you install it.
In addition to HD's Library, there is also a User-side Library etc.

I have the same problem! I can't activate Futura PT Book no matter what I do (activate, deactivate), restart machine.

I have no duplicate fonts installed.

Please help!

There could be a conflict with another font with a different name, they all have (or should have) a unique identifier...

Try disabling / uninstalling all those free web fonts you've only ever used once, if that...
