Disabling the GPU makes it work normally (though more slowly, of course),
so the problem is there. The type of mouse has nothing to do with it.
I also tried updating all possible drivers...
The only thing that actually changed was the Illustrator version.
Let’s hope they fix it.
thanks for your reply

Thank you for sharing the details and for your patience. I understand how frustrating this can be, and I appreciate you thoroughly troubleshooting the issue.
As Monika asked, are you using a special driver for your mouse? If so, are you using the Logi options app from Logitech for your Logi MX ERGO?
To help us investigate further, could you please provide:
1. A screen recording showing the issue in action.
2. Your system specifications in detail.
3. where your file is saved (e.g., local drive, network, or external storage).
4. GPU driver version
This information will help the product team identify the root cause. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Anshul

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
As previously mentioned, yes, I use the Logi MX ERGO mouse (all drivers are up to date).
Here are my answers to your questions:
A screen recording showing the issue in action.
Your system specifications in detail.
Where your file is saved (e.g., local drive, network, or external storage).
GPU driver version.
That said, I was able to fix the issue simply by rolling back to version 29.2.1,
which confirms that the problem is related to the updates. In fact, I haven't changed any drivers, mice, or other settings on either computer.
As I already mentioned, if you disable the GPU or set "View using CPU", the issue does not occur.
In my opinion, some routine goes into an infinite loop when pressing Alt + mouse wheel: after two or more scrolls, the system freezes, and it takes a few seconds before the zoom happens and the selection commands start working again.
Please look into this issue because the system is currently unusable, and I definitely can't stay stuck on an outdated version in the future.
Thank you.

Thanks for sharing the detailed information — I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially since it’s affecting your workflow.
It’s helpful to know that rolling back to version 29.2.1 resolved the issue, confirming that the behavior is linked to the latest update. Since the problem doesn’t occur with the GPU disabled or in Outline mode, this suggests the issue may be GPU-related.
Once you’re able to share a screen recording showing the issue in action and a system info file, I’ll escalate this with the product team for further investigation.
Looking forward to your response.
Best,
Anshul
