Anchorpoints and Pen Tool Path glitch!!!!

Can someone tell me what this is and how to fix it?

Illustrator just keeps chucking in random vector that doesnt follow my pathways. 

There doesnt seem to be a fix and its very frustrating in illustrator.

Please try going to View menu > View using CPU and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks, Peter. That did the trick! Althought its very slow once I do switch to that mode. I guess I'll just toggle on and off.
