Hi! 
First time writing a community post so hopefully the format fits the bill. 
I'm the founder of a non-profit organisation that looks to make Motorsport and Sim Racing more accessible for kids regardless of their financial background. One of the ways we are achieving this is by hosting online sim racing leagues. 

My question comes from whether you can integrate variable data to elements within an Illustrator template that then reformat the template and somewhat automate the final Illustrative piece. For example, taking race results from an excel spreadsheet, each name being linked to the drivers car which is an element within Illustrator. By sorting the grid from 1st to 16th withint the spreadsheet, is there anyway that Illustrator could reformat / position the relevant drivers car in that order?

Or am I living in Dreamland?
