Hi Dan,

If I get it, all three apps (AI, ID and PS) are not launching and getting stuck at the splash screen?  Were they working fine earlier? Is it a new install? Please restart your computer once and then check.

Regards,

Om

  • Check  Adobe Creative Cloud App is running, and are there any errors coming from that.
  • Check  Adobe Acrobat is functioning  and installed.

If those 2 apps are running good then:

RESET CLOUD OOBE

Mac

Quit Illustrator & Creative Cloud (go to cloud icon on top right, click on gear icon, quit)

Mac Finder >> Shift Command G

enter: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE

Move your OOBE folder somewhere (eg: desktop)

Windows

Exit Creative Cloud app

remove the opm.db file located here: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

RESET CLOUD CACHE MAC

Finder >> Command+Shift+G

~/Library/Caches/CloudKit/

Trash: CloudKitMetadata, CloudKitMetadata-shm, CloudKitMetadata-wal

Thanks, I rebooted in safe mode. Then rebooted again. It's working for now.

I've had no problems until this week. Now lots of restarting.

I upgraded my OS to 10.12.4 and tried the above resets.

Still having this problem this week.

After restarting I can usually open Indesign or Photoshop.  After a while I need to restart again.

Hi Dan,

If you are having a problem with all 3 apps, then something common to all 3 programs is likely the culprit

  1. OOBE
  2. plug in you have installed in your OS
  3. corrupted font
  4. Adobe Acrobat Install - the install affected ll other programs os let us knwo who this is running.

If your startup screen gets stuck art a certain point, the type I circled could tell us what Illustrator is struggling on.

Does this problem happen consistently, or after you restart your apps work fine and later when you boot more apps this fails.

To reset the OOB properly you must quit all Adobe apps, or else all the cached garbage goes right back in.

So let u know if you may have a bunch of free fonts or some plugins installed, as could use some more variables to figure out what is going on with your computer.
