Archivo sin contenido PDF

Realice un diseño en Illustrator y lo guarde, al momento de abrir el archivo no me sale el diseño que realice sino solo texto indicando que es un archivo illustrator guardado sin contenido PDF. Quisiera saber como puedo recuperar el diseño inicial.

You saved the file - which file format and where did you save it?

And then you opened or placed the file - again: in which app?

Waht OS are you on/ Does the file with .ai at the end of the name? Where did you save the file to a local device like your hard drive or a server?  Does the system you are on match the formatting of the drive? (eg: Mac OS  & AFPS)
