Artboard gets bigger when using texture on path

Hey guys,
why my artboard get bigger when I am trying to use texture on path?
Same goes if I try to export the path, it gets that borders around my path.

It's not your artboard that gets bigger. Illustrator adds an area around the object. If you open Effect > Document raster effect settings, you will find that and can set it to 0

You're welcome!

There might be times in which you want to enlarge the area (when using Blur effects). And there might be times when you want to set the background to transparent.

You can limit the export to any area by editing the actual artboard using the artboard tool.
