Artboard names are grayed out on MacOS Monteray 12.0.1 ever since the most recent update. Change happened immediately after updating and it worked fine on the previous version of illustrator. This happens with every new file I create, as well as opening old files.

I'd try a prefs reset.

Hi @Leanne5CE2

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing. I would like to know if resetting preferences as suggested above by @Met1 worked for you? If not, Would it be possible for you to share a few more details like:

  • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
  • Is this happening with both old & new documents?
  • Does updating to macOS 12.1 help resolve the issue?
  • Does pressing cmd+e help resolve the issue?
  • Are you using an external monitor(s)?
  • What is the screen resolution of your external monitor(s) or Mac display?

Kindly update the discussion if you still need assistance with it. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini
