Artboard Tool affects Animated Zoom

Hi, does anyone has this issue as well? Whenever I choose the Artboard Tool in the tool panel or using the Shift+O, it enters this mode and the animated zoom stops working.  I've tried re-installing and also using a downgraded version but the only way to get it back to normal is to restart illustrator. It really affects my workflow and I can't seem to find any solutions online.

I've attached a video to show the issue. If anyone has a solution, help pls! 😞

I cannot reproduce that.

Apart from that Animated zoom always works? Does it work in artboard mode when you use the pinch-zoom on a trackpad?

I'm working on an iMac(2017), so I can't test it on a trackpad.

Also, when it enters artboard mode, there isn't the indication of the atboard number on the top left of each artboard.

As I said, I cannot replicate it.

You could try and reset preferences (which will erase your settings) https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html

Quit Illustrator and rename the folder, that can be made undone.

Hello @BenjaminWang,

Sorry to hear about this experience. I hope resetting Illustrator's preferences, as suggested by Monika, helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly try running Illustrator under the root user account and share your observations.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav
