Hello,
I’m looking for an efficient way to draw a line in Adobe Illustrator with regularly spaced triangles ("teeth") on one side, similar to the convention used for thrust fault symbols on geological maps (like the red marked lines on the attached image).
Is there a recommended method to create this?
Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Make the triangles into scatter brushes.
(black shapes and then in the brush option turn on Colorization: Tints)
Then in the Appearance panel apply a normal stroke and then another stroke on top with the triangles brush
Make that into a graphic style
