Amazing how nobody answered my first post on this.
Again,
I have an image created in Photoshop , I need to bevel and extrude in AI. I try with 3d classic but it does the entire image with the background even though it's a .png which is in attached Any help in doing this??

Illustrator is a vector application. The 3D effects do not work with images.
You need to create a vector first.
Create a simple stroked circle grouped with a line or auto trace the image without the white.

OK I was able to extrude and bevel the .svg but now the last thing or maybe it should have been the first when I created the circle and line is to be able to have text run inside the red circle, text across top and text across bottom. I need to make sure that when I bevel and extrude the circle and line .svg the text just stays flat on the circle.
???

The text needs to stay flat? Then maybe just don't extrude it?
