Black and White "Trace Image" no longer available as today (3/3/23)

Community Beginner ,

Good afternoon Adobe community,

I am an avid user of the Trace Image feature in Illustrator, and I always use the Black and White. Just noticed today 3/3/23 that it is no longer on the drop down list. Has this been discontinued and will I have to just go with the Shades of Gray option? Or is this a bug?

Please advise

Hello @Brandon27193359u7ul,

We understand that this feature is important to you and apologize for its unavailability at this time. As suggested by Ton, Black and White Mode is still available under the Image Trace options, but the Black & White Logo preset is not.

Which version do you have? There is a recent update to 27.3.1.

When I trace black/whit artwork I get Black and White as Mode in the Image Trace panel.

Running latest version 27.3.1 and I do see the black and white option through the Image Trace panel.

Was just wondering why all of a sudden today this option was not showing up on the shortcut menu (panel closed) Essentials Classic setup.

Thanks Ton

Yes, Brandon and you can create your own preset based on Black and White Logo and name it Black and White.
