Hey. I just updated to MACOS Sonoma, and noticed Illustrator being weird with clipping masks. I'm also on the most recent version of Illustrator. Now when I make clipping masks. I can see the smart guides cursor dragging to catch up (see attached video) and then until the cursor catches up I can't make any other changes like moving the art or even selecting something else. I checked to see if anything had changed in my settings but it doesn't look like it did.
We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind checking if Illustrator behaves this way with all files? If yes, kindly try running Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.
Hello. Yes it does still do it on other files. As well as in safe mode. I tried it on a seperate MAC with an older OS and the same file didn't have any issues despite being the same Ver of Ai. I probably won't be able to try a different Admin on the same computer as I am not the SysAdmin. I've also noticed it seems to bottleneck on some files at times. where I'll make a change and it hangs for a second or two before being able to make changes.
