Bug in this text block from Illustrator 2024 - that crashes Illustrator 2025. What is it?

What is it in this text block (see atttached file) that causes Illustrator 2025 to crash when opening the file. It opens fine in Illustrator 2024. BTW I couldnt actually attach the original ai file as I got an error message (see screenshot). So I had to save as a PDF. Same outcome though. The PDF opens fine in 2024 - but crashes 2025.

Could you let me know the exact OS and Illustrator versions you are using for both 2024 and 2025, and if the crash happens only with this file or with other files containing similar text blocks? If possible, please share the original AI file via a public cloud link like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., as that will help us identify what in the text block is triggering the crash. Mac OS is 15.6. Illustrator 2024 is 28.7.8. Illustrator 2025 is 29.7.1. I've uploaded an ai file and a zipped ai file to wetransfer: https://we.tl/t-gfqURBq9mB

Opens fine in 29.7.1 Cannot detect anything problematic.

Yes, it is a longstanding problem that .ai files cannot be attached on an Illustrator forum.

Changing .ai to .pdf or saving as PDF with Illustrator editing preserved will allow it.
